What is Sculptra®?

Administered with the appropriate injection technique from a trained specialist, Sculptra® is clinically approved for:

• Lines framing the mouth (marionette lines)
• Chin wrinkles

How is Sculptra® injected?

Sculptra® is injected into the deep dermis, subcutaneous layer or into the supraperiosteal plane with a 25G or 26G needle with sterile single-use syringes. The depth of injection and quantity of Sculptra® used depends on the area to be treated and the result expected.

Does Sculptra® hurt?

Sculptra® injections are not painful. There might be some minor discomfort during the injection process, but this is typically minimal and well-tolerated by our patients.

What is the downside to Sculptra®?

Having temporary side effects is something that can be both Sculptra® pros and cons. While it is generally well-tolerated, Sculptra® comes with the acknowledgment of possible temporary side effects. Some may experience short-term effects, like tenderness and swelling, where Sculptra® is injected.
